Poor Support and Poorer PR

I purchased my Versalink C405 with the understanding that it was fully functional including wi-fi capability. When I received the machine, I discovered that in order to have wi-fi, I had to purchase an additional adapter at a cost of nearly $100.00. After using the machine for about a year, networking with ethernet, I decided to get rid of the unsightly ethernet cable, bite the bullet and spend another $100.00 and purchase the wireless adapter. The machine worked fine for about six months and then would not hold a connection. I called Xerox and they informed me it was my Internet Provider's (whom I had used with no problems up until this issue) problem, not Xerox's. After having the Internet Provider come to my office, check all of their connections and equipment, they determined a proper signal was reaching my printer. I again called Xerox and they condicendedly agreed to waive the $25.00 out of warranty fee, but so sad, too bad, it was not their problem and they would do nothing further. I now have a $100.00 paper weight sitting on my desk and 20 feet of unsightly ethernet cable stretching across my office. BEWARE of Xerox's misleading advertising, their inferior equipment and their terrible support department. I will probably have to trash this piece of junk and purchase a decent printer from a reputable company!

A Wifi kit would need to be purchased. Frustrating Setup

Confusing setup. Still can't get it to scan to computer. Unable to login in as administrator, neither password given, nor serial number works. Unable to find support.

Frustrated

For the most part it's a fair multifunction Printer. But there are a few things I just don't like. I hate the way it tells you are out of paper...it doesn't. It gives you a error code, instead of just saying "out of paper". How hard is that? And then there's the scanning option. I don't even want to get into that. These things are supposed to make our lives easier, but programming has made it harder.

terrible product

Have had nothing but problems since we bought it. Always jammed, errors and screen freezes. Difficult to get a xerox to repair.
