Xerox Receives ENERGY STAR® Program’s Highest Honor

Xerox is honoured to receive the ENERGY STAR® 2023 Partner of the Year Award for Sustainable Excellence, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy’s premier recognition.

Winners are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners and are a part of a distinguished group that has performed at a superior level of energy management. Organisations earning the Sustainable Excellence award have consistently earned Partner of the Year for several years in a row, with annual achievements continuing to surpass those in previous years.

Winners must:

  • Demonstrate best practices across the organization;

  • Prove organisation-wide energy savings; and

  • Participate actively and communicate the benefits of ENERGY STAR.

“Xerox has a long-standing relationship with the ENERGY STAR program, serving as one of the charter partners that helped first establish the program’s standards. Xerox aims for 100% of its eligible new products to earn ENERGY STAR certification and has met this goal every year since 2010,” said Wendi Latko, vice president of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability at Xerox. “This award recognises our continued efforts to continue to push ourselves and our customers forward, delivering improvements over and above every prior year."

“As we accelerate historic efforts to address climate change, public-private partnerships will be essential to realising the scale of our ambition,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “I applaud this year’s ENERGY STAR award winners for working with EPA to deliver a clean energy future that saves American consumers and businesses money and creates jobs."

Xerox has a legacy of taking decisive action to build a more sustainable future for all—employees, customers, communities, and the planet. The company accelerated its net zero goal by ten years to 2040 and offset nearly 240 million pounds of carbon dioxide through PrintReleaf.
