Primary Transfer Current Adjustment
The purpose of this adjustment is to correct black (K) line smears at lead edge area of the print output. The smears occur at approximately 10 mm from the lead edge. Black (K) line smears can be corrected by increasing the primary (first) transfer current.
This smear occurs primarily with black (K); however, if other image quality problems occur, such as ghosting, the other colors, Cyan (C), Magenta (M), and Yellow (Y), may also be adjusted to correct these problems.
