Replacing the Fuser
When it is time to replace the fuser, the printer displays a message on the control panel.
To replace the fuser:
CAUTION: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
1. Turn off the printer, then unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Open Door C and wait for the printer to cool for 30 minutes.

3. To unlock the fuser, rotate both the knobs counterclockwise until the knobs spring forward.
4. Remove the fuser unit from the printer.
5. Unpack and insert the new fuser unit into the printer until it clicks into place.
6. To lock the fuser, rotate both the knobs clockwise until it is tight.
7. Close Door C.
8. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet, then turn on the printer.
Potential Injury: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, connect the power cord to an appropriately rated and properly grounded electrical outlet that is near the product and easily accessible.
9. Dispose the used fuser unit.
