Loading Paper in 2100-Sheet High Capacity Feeder Tray
The control panel displays a warning message when the paper in the tray is in short supply or when the tray is empty.
If your printer has a 2100-sheet High Capacity Feeder, it can be configured as dedicated or adjustable paper tray. The printer can have a single 2100-sheet high-capacity paper tray. It can be Tray 2, 3, or 4 but must be the bottom tray in the stack.
To load paper in the High Capacity Feeder paper tray:
1. Pull out the tray until it stops.

2. Pull up, then slide the width guide to the correct position for A4, Legal, Letter, Folio, or Oficio-size paper.

3. Squeeze, then slide the length guide to the position for A4, Legal, Letter, Folio, or Oficio-size paper until it clicks into place.

4. Before you load the paper into the trays, fan the edges of the paper. The procedure separates any sheets of paper that are stuck together and reduces the possibility of paper jams.
Note:To avoid paper jams and misfeeds, do not remove paper from the packaging until necessary.

5. Load the paper in the High Capacity Feeder tray.
a. Place letterhead or pre-printed paper face up with the top edge toward the front.

b. Place hole-punched paper with the holes at the right side of the tray.

*WARNING: Do not load paper above the maximum fill line. Overfilling can cause paper jams.
6. Slide the tray back into the printer.
Note:Press down the paper stack while pushing the tray back into the printer.

7. At the control panel, select the correct size, type, and color.
8. To confirm the settings, touch Confirm.
