DocuShare® Flex not just quick solution during COVID, but an ideal service for Blaenau Gwent

The Customer: Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council

Blaenau Gwent CBC delivers services to five towns in Wales, with a total population of 68,400. It’s divided into 16 political wards, with 42 elected officials.

The Challenges: During COVID-19, normal county services were disrupted. Staff working remotely faced communication issues with customers, including being able to respond to service requests in a timely and safe manner. Blaenau Gwent CBC also needed to ensure documents could be distributed securely.

The Solution: DocuShare Flex. In less than 10 days, Xerox delivered a digital mailroom that:

  • Sorted, prepared, scanned, and indexed all inbound mail in an ISO accredited center.

  • Gave remote staff a cloud platform with online access to mail.

  • Ensured all digital files could be searched, forwarded, and fully managed.

  • Printed or mailed outbound communication to customers.

The Benefits: Blaenau Gwent CBC could now work remotely and access documents securely, while ensuring all communications could continue internally and with customers.
