Case Study: Electronic records save time, money and space

The cost of operating Luton & Dunstable University Hospital's paper-based records system added up to as much as £14 million over a 10-year period. The hospital wanted to replace its paper medical records with an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

L&D turned to Xerox for unified records management with “intelligent paper recognition” and full process automation. Not only will the new system save L&D time and money, but it is also gaining space as it phases out some 300,000 paper medical records and reuses the space for core functions that lead to better patient care.
