Innovation
The legacy and lifeblood of Xerox.
Customer-focused Innovation
We thrive on bringing new thinking to the table and finding new ways to connect with the needs of our customers. Every day, our customers come to us with new requirements. And every day our professionals deliver by solving their challenges in innovative ways.
Invention – Always a Xerox Tradition
Invention has always been a Xerox tradition. One of Xerox's best-known inventions was launched to the public in 1959: the Xerox 914 automatic, plain paper copier. Ever since, we've been unstoppable.
Today Xerox Corporation is still one of the world's top technology innovators, with research and technology centers in the United States and Canada. These centers explore the unknown, invent next-generation technology, architect product platforms, manage intellectual property, and conduct work in color science, computing, systems, novel materials, and other disciplines connected to our expertise in printing and document management. Xerox embeds these inventions in our products and solutions, uses them as the foundation of new business, and licenses or sells them to other entities.

We believe in innovation everywhere – from how we work, to what we deliver. Our world-renowned research centers continue to turn what was once thought impossible into new products. We have varied methodologies and structures throughout our company, but one thing stays consistent – our commitment to solving the challenges of our customers.
