Regardless of our country or continent, we are all concerned about the wisest use of our precious natural resources. Paper is crucial to commerce and everyday life, however it is essential that we are smart about how we use the many natural resources involved in creating that paper. Only by following a path of sustainability will we ensure the Earth’s abundance for generations to come.

We hope that this site will provide an invaluable resource for policy and strategy and will help you choose paper wisely.

Our Commitment

These are more than words and a symbol for Xerox. The leaf stands as both a reminder as well as proof that at Xerox, our commitment is about action and impact.

Xerox has been committed to sustainability and the environment for decades. We have a responsibility to meet our customers’ current needs without compromising the planet for the future. It is not only a goal — it is a value as well. It is the way we live.

Our commitment to sustainability extends throughout our entire company. As a corporation, we are focused on four areas where we believe that we can have the most impact:
  • Climate protection through energy efficiency
  • Protection of biodiversity in the world’s forests
  • Preservation of clean air and water
  • Waste prevention and management
Our papers are a significant element of this commitment. The leaf is a way to easily find information on how Xerox paper is produced in concert with our overall sustainability goals. We consider the impact of every paper product on the environment. Our documented paper standard includes the steps of paper production from pulp sourcing to how the mill is reducing air and water pollutants. Every Xerox paper, from certified to recycled to virgin products must adhere to these standards, as well as provide excellent image quality and performance. Commitment to sustainability does not have to mean de-commitment on product quality.

Sustainability is not a cost of doing business; it is the way we do business.
