| What Makes Xerox Tabs Better? Our Tabs Won't Get Bent Out of Shape
Bent tabs cause deletions in printing and a missed image here or there can cost you money, time, productivity and customer satisfaction. It's a simple statement of fact, yet only Xerox has engineered an innovative packaging design to ensure your tabs arrive and stay crisp, clean, straight and ready to produce first-rate imaging results. Find out how our packaging eliminates or minimizes damage caused by any number of factors, from tossing, dropping, kicking or fork-lifting the carton to trying to remove tabs from individual ream boxes.
A Stronger Carton
We started with a sturdier carton to accommodate heavy plastic tabs—five ream boxes of tabs per carton. Paper tabs are also packed five reams to a carton, in a standard carton that is designed for their weight. All cartons are marked "Fragile." Lot codes are provided so we can get to the bottom of any problems you may have.
A Cushioned Box
Individual tab ream boxes feature an "orientation" stripe to indicate which side the actual tabs are on. The stripe ensures packers place reams "nose to nose," with tabs/stripes facing one another, two layers of two boxes each. The fifth box is centered on the other four, and cardboard "sleeves" are inserted on either side to hold in place and cushion the fifth box. Bang as much as you like on the outside of the carton, the tabs will remain unscathed with this configuration!
A Soft Landing
Our tab ream boxes have a special "landing craft" design that minimizes handling. Less handling means fewer opportunities to bend tabs. One end of the box is actually a flap that opens down, making it easy to slide a stack out without bending a single tab. That's a far cry from struggling to grab a handful of heavy tabs out of an ordinary box.
