Cairo, May 07, 2010 Xerox Corporation announced the appointment of Steve Clay as the new General Manager of Xerox Egypt effective April 1st, 2010 and promoting Yehia Aboul Maaty- the company's current GM- to the position of General Manager and Vice President of Xerox Latin Group based in the US.

Clay joined Xerox 30 years ago, during which he held different positions and was able to gain rich and extensive experience in the areas of sales, maintenance, technical support and systems management whilst continually building customer credibility and confidence.

Clay has held the position of General Manager, Operations & Post Sales for MEA for the last two years and has leveraged on his considerable operational experience in this role by strongly contributing to pushing Xerox's growth rates despite the economic difficulties the world has experienced during the past years. Prior to joining DMO, Steve was General Manager of Continua, an independently managed subsidiary of Xerox UK, during which time, he achieved strong profit and cash growth over a 7 year tenure.

Xerox Middle East and Africa mentioned that Clay's achievement of exceptional results and the excellence he showed in sales operations throughout his career in Xerox have made him the perfect choice for leading Xerox Egypt's operations at the current phase.

It is worth noting that Aboul Maaty has joined Xerox 19 years ago and throughout his career in Xerox, he has held various positions within Sales & Marketing, Operation Management and participated in implementing various strategic projects in Egypt as abroad. In 2006, he was the Regional General Manager of Sales and Marketing Operations for Central & Eastern Europe during his work in the United Kingdom at Xerox Europe Head Quarters. And in 2007, he became the General Manager and Vice President of Xerox Egypt and through this position, he was able to develop the company's business significantly which supported in positioning Xerox Egypt as one of the fastest growing branches within the developing markets operations.
