Healthcare Payer and Pharma, Program Manager



The HPP IT group supports the business teams that provide various services to healthcare payer clients. Our organization provides the IT services that support current business needs as well as new programs and projects.

The team achieves its mission by consistent and accurate communication, gathering and reporting performance metrics, facilitating and supporting training plans, utilizing project server and TFS to ensure effective resource engagement and allocation, standardizing job titles, descriptions and salaries, and coordinating strategic initiatives across the HPP organization.

The HPP IT Program Management group is in place to implement standardized processes and management tools, ensure and provide consistent project management, and coordinate all efforts between IT and the Business in order to provide superior customer service.

Our team is very diverse and made up of people of many different backgrounds located in various states, as well as Guatemala and Monterrey, Mexico. Our team members are similar because we all share a positive attitude and a persistent drive to achieve our goals. Our team is focused on helping each other and supporting the organization to be successful.

My favorite part of my job is that it changes to meet the needs of the organization. I support various groups and people with program and project management needs and those needs are always changing. I am always learning and doing new things, which makes my job interesting and fulfilling.

My future is very open at Xerox. I know that hard work and results will open up opportunities that I may not have even considered or known. I enjoy my current role and should I want to make a change in the future, I am confident that I will find the right opportunities within Xerox to consider.

When I was asked to manage a project that needed some help, I was very proud of what our team was able to accomplish after I joined. We improved the customer relationship, set realistic expectations and met them, and improved the morale of the team. Xerox and the people I work with have provided many situations that allow me to use my strengths to help others and the company.

Area Service Delivery Manager, Xerox Service Delivery Organisation, Large Enterprise Operations



My business group manages the delivery of outsourced services and technology services to a wide range of companies; from investment banks, pharmaceuticals, legal firms, communications companies through to retail organisations and manufacturers – many of them household brands. Often these services are delivered across multiple countries, or within multiple regions within one country.

As an Area Service Delivery Manager, I have responsibility for a number of clients, primarily financial and professional organisations, with whom we have contracts to manage various services or technology products.

My role is to support and direct my team in supporting our clients and their objectives, and to act as an escalation point for when things go wrong. Our services and contracts need to continually evolve as our clients’ organisations evolve, therefore it is important that we foster these relationships and strive to continually innovate.

My team are often based on client sites, managing these services as a core part of the client infrastructure, for example providing Managed Print Services in the headquarters of an investment bank.


Many of the roles within my team are client facing and can be either operational, technical or management focussed.

A Manager in my area would typically be responsible for a team of people and one large contract or a number of smaller contracts. They would have responsibility for their own P&L, could be based on a client site and would effectively be responsible for all related service delivery activity in-line with our contractual obligations.

Separately there are roles within my team which provide presentation services or creative design services to customers, translating design briefs into communication material or branding and logo creation, and supporting the creation of pitch-books.

There are more operational roles which involve troubleshooting, customer service, technical support, print production, equipment maintenance and fixing, or software management/analysis.

Additionally we work with back-office roles which support our technology and financial functions, our HR and recruitment functions.

Working with my clients and my team. I enjoy being constantly challenged by our clients’ objectives and being rewarded by the performance of my team in delivering them.

This translates into what I find inspiring: the people I work with. We take inbound calls from participants who are or were in the 401k plan and assist them with enrolling into the plan or rolling it over to another IRA plan. We also have clients we take calls from who have medical and dental insurance with us. We help them with their benefits and enroll them in the plan. We also mail out forms and advise them of our website so they can use it 24/7.

We research questions participants may have about their plan or we make them aware of their choices.

I take calls in all areas. I do health and welfare, 401k and pension. I am on a shared team with multiple clients.

I am on a great team! We all work together and we all help each other out. We all have multiple teams so it does get a little crazy at times, but we are always here to help.

I love helping others! I learn new things everyday. It’s a good feeling knowing that you just made someone’s day especially when their money is involved.

It is a well known company and a company that I trust.

They are very flexible with schedules and offer great benefits and a great group of people to work with.
