XRCI Open 2014

Xerox Research Centre India (XRCI) announces the 1st XRCI Open, an open innovation symposium to be organized at our premises in Bangalore India on March 14, 2014.

Researchers at Xerox Innovation Group (XIG), the research wing of Xerox, are delighting our customers worldwide by creating a continuous stream of product and service innovations. As the latest global research location of XIG, XRCI’s mission is to capture innovation opportunities in emerging markets and to advance Xerox’s position as the leading global provider of document and business process services. Four of the key areas of focus at XRCI include Education, Healthcare, Smart Cities and Banking.

Traditionally, Xerox has actively engaged in productive collaborations with academia through a number of initiatives such as research grants and open innovation projects. The goal of XRCI Open is to further strengthen ties with the academic research community in India, and to encourage researchers to work on key problems in the areas mentioned above.

For this symposium, we solicit proposals aligning with the verticals of Education, Healthcare, Smart Cities and Banking. Topics of interest include (but are not restricted to):

Submission details

Papers should adhere to the IEEE double-column format with 3 pages maximum (i.e., including title, abstract, content, and any references). LaTeX templates can be found at: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Papers must contain the authors’ names, affiliations, and contact information. Authors not having an existing EasyChair account need to sign up for a new account. After logging in, submissions are to be made through the ‘New Submissions’ tab in the left top corner. Submissions are accepted in PDF format.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the program committee. For an accepted submission to be included in the symposium, at least one presenter per accepted paper must register to attend. At the symposium, presenters can use posters and demos to present their work.

Symposium format

The format of the symposium includes keynote/invited talks, poster/demo session, panel discussion and student event (Quiz). There will also be a banquet with demos and an award ceremony.
