There are many variants to SPAM e-mails customers may receive. Some examples reported to Xerox include:
- E-mail file containing files with extensions not supported by Xerox devices including .ZIP or .EXE
- Unexpected e-mail from ‘Xerox WorkCentre’ containing a PDF file
- E-mail with phrase “Please open the attached document. It was scanned (or faxed) and sent to you using a Xerox Work Centre Pro.”
- Notifications that e-mail containing PDF file couldn’t be delivered – ‘bounce message’
