In Their Words...

"50 years old and the company is still here as strong as ever, still has a strong brand, still innovating," said Kevin Warren, president, CEO and chairman of the board of Xerox Canada, in an interview on Trading Day on the Business News Network. BNN is Canada's only all-business network television.

When asked about the history of the company in terms of the changes seen in the last 25 years, Warren commented, "In some ways the company's very similar from a culture standpoint - its commitment to innovation, its commitment to the community, its commitment to diversity. But in a lot of ways we're very different." He explained how continuous innovation as it relates to making colour copying and printing more cost effective, investing in R&D, and helping customers be more efficient, productive and green will be very important for Xerox to continue to emerge stronger than its competitors.

"We've gone from mostly black-and-white copying and printing to colour, services -- value-added services -- business process outsourcing is a big part of our business. We've gotten into the on-demand printing, and really taken, migrated some of the volume from the printing presses versus what we used to do before. So, it's really a combination of a lot of things that made us a great company, but we've also evolved, and continuously innovated and evolved."
