
The Technical Minority Scholarship Program
Pursuing a career in Technology has its built-in challenges. What needn't be a challenge is finding the financial wherewithal that will help you in achieving your goals. To that end, Xerox established the Technical Minority Scholarship Program.
In demonstration of our commitment to the academic success of minority students and to the cultivation and recruitment of qualified minority employees in technical fields, scholarships are available in the amount $1,000 - $10,000 (depending on tuition balance, academic excellence and classification)

Who is eligible? |

Applicants must be academic high-achievers (3.0 or better GPA). Applicants must be US citizens or visa-holding Permanent Residents of African American, Asian, Pacific Island, Native American, Native Alaskan, or Hispanic descent. They must be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduate student in any of the following technical fields: ChemistryInformation ManagementComputing & Software SystemsMaterial SciencePrinting Management ScienceLaser OpticsPhysicsMaterial ScienceEngineering (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Imaging, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Optical, or Software) |

How can I apply? |

Follow these four steps to apply: Step 1 Complete the top portion of the application. Step 2 Have the Financial Aid Office complete the bottom portion of the application. What is the deadline for submitting applications? |

All applications must be received at the program office, with a postmark dated prior to September 30 of the current year. |

Will I receive a confirmation that the program office has received my application? |

Each applicant will receive an acknowledgement letter mailed to the applicant's listed address. |

How will I know if I have been selected to receive a scholarship award? |
| A. |
Scholarships will be awarded at the end of December of each year. Recipients of the current year scholarship will receive a letter announcing the award. Individuals not selected to receive an award will not be notified. Therefore, if you do not hear from us by the end of December announcing your selection for an award, you are not an award winner. Individuals not selected to receive an award are eligible to submit another application for the next year. All qualification criteria must be met for the succeeding year's application period.

I am in transition from my undergraduate university to graduate school. Which school should I have fill out the financial aid section of the application form? |

The institution to which you have been accepted, in this case, the graduate school. If you have not been accepted, apply after acceptance. Most schools will confirm acceptance prior to September 15. |
