They're invaluable for two reasons: they provide Xerox with an opportunity to recruit and evaluate students for potential regular full-time new college positions. And they provide college students with -- in addition to a paycheck -- real-life, on-the-job experience in their field of study. So once they get their degree, they can hit the ground running. Internship-for-Credit (unpaid) positions are also offered, in which a student visits Xerox for research or learning/training experience.

Our sources for selecting eligible candidates for internships as well as for full-time employment run wide and deep. And programs dedicated to the advancement of minority youth are a vital part of the mosaic.
We source from such highly acclaimed groups as INROADS, an international organization that prepares minority students for future positions of corporate and community leadership. The Hispanic and Black College Liaison Programs (HCLP and BCLP) are priceless for nurturing careers and heightening awareness, on both the corporate and university side, of the tremendous contributions Hispanics and African-Americans can make.
