EOMS C-Services (also known as EC-PJM) is a Job Management solution that allows documents to be printed from multiple clients, through various network environments, to queues created on the server. An operator can manipulate jobs and route them to any printer in the print environment. Jobs arriving at the server may be automatically forwarded to printers without operator intervention.
C-Services 2.0 is a bundled configuration consisting of Windows 2000 Server, the software, its applications (Document Control Manager and Print Icon), and Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0. Hardware components consist of a Compaq ProLiant ML330 Server with a 1GHz Pentium III processor, 256 MB RAM, an 18.2 GB Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 hard drive, and a 17" colour display. In Europe, customers may acquire the software alone or with the hardware components.
C-Services 2.0 brings increased electronic print volume into the print shop via extended connectivity and improves the shop productivity by offering a wide variety of work flow options and supporting tools.

Job Management Using Document Control Manager (DCM), C-Services' Job Management tool, an operator can manage documents residing in queues by copying, moving and proofing them. By administering jobs in the queues, the operator can achieve load balancing across the set of printers. DCM also allows storing and retrieval of documents for printing at a later time.
Job Ticketing Features of job ticketing, such as copy count, paper stock, finishing options, covers and special instructions, can be manipulated directly. Jobs printed to C-Services with Xerox Job Tickets can be modified; jobs without ticketing can have these options added to eliminate work done directly at the printer.
Drag-and-Drop of PS/PDF jobs Using Print Icon, another C-Services tool, users can drag-and-drop Postscript or PDF files from an application such as Explorer directly onto the Print Icon utility. The files are then forwarded to any C-Services queue.
Automatic PDF-to-Postscript Conversion Document Control Manager automatically converts PDF documents to Postscript - users simply print PDF documents directly. The converted Postscript file matches the capabilities of the printer. When supported by the printer, PDF files may be sent directly to the printer from C-Services.
Web Printing C-Services' Web Submission allows remote clients to print to specified Input Queues via a Web browser such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Jobs can be submitted with a Xerox Job Ticket, allowing the user to specify the number of copies, paper stock, finishing and other job ticketing features. Once a job is sent to an Input Queue, it can be automatically forwarded to a specific printer or manipulated by an operator.
Cluster Printing Instead of relying on just one output device for mission-critical high-volume processing, C-Services acts as a front-end system driving multiple printers to essentially operate as a single output device. Operators can configure Input Queues to automatically distribute and forward jobs to multiple printers. Jobs can be divided and routed to several units, maximising production levels, or be distributed among printers based on the printers' capabilities.
