Darwin combines database management tools with professional graphic design and printing applications. This software solution runs on the CreoScitex RIP (raster image processor), which in turn sends the document to a compatible digital colour printer.Scitex Darwin uses a specially designed Adobe® PostScript®-based language called Variable Print Specification (VPS), which ensures the static elements within the document are only processed once. The RIP is used to process only the variable elements on each page. As a result the RIP and Darwin combine to form a flexible and easy-to-use system that enables you to produce colour VI documents.
