The DocuColor 233 DI is a two-up, four-color digital offset press that incorporates Presstek's new ProFire™ imaging technology and PEARLdry™ Plus plates. It's a press so advanced that it greatly streamlines the printing process. A laser images files directly onto the mounted plates, eliminating film and allowing all digital pre-press data to be handled directly from computer to press.
The DocuColor 233 DI not only saves time, it saves labor. Printing operations are highly automatic, and that includes everything from plate imaging, to ink pre-setting and running a test print. The press also offers a variety of labor-saving features such as automatic cleaning devices for ink rollers, blankets and plate cylinders. The DocuColor 233 DI is ideal for virtually any type of short-run, four-color printing, such as promotional literature including catalogs, posters, and direct mail. As the most automated press in its class, it's easy to use, increases productivity and expands your business capabilities in the short-run color market. The laser imaging system eliminates the need for film and chemicals. An oversized impression cylinder and a single gripper system mean you generally need only one pull for color, so you save on paper. Turnaround time is much shorter and your productivity can increase to an extra job per shift.
