Bottom line? More trees. Fewer emissions. Better air.

We’ve teamed up with The Nature Conservancy, for another four years, to limit the forest loss and degradation that contribute about 15% of all greenhouse gas emissions.

Here’s just some of what our work will mean:

• Now landowners will get forest-certified faster and help us test conservation methods
• We’re building consistency across projects by giving people clear standards
• And we’re helping our suppliers and other land managers implement those standards

Zero waste, same cost.

What’s right with this picture?

Judging from the waste produced by our toner plant in Webster, New York, you wouldn’t know it’s there. That’s because the amount of waste it sends to landfills
is – zero.

Solids and wastewater are shipped to waste-to-energy plants. Metals, corrugated boxes, office paper and plastics were recycled. The result? Not a single ounce
of waste.

Expensive, right? Nope, same as industrial landfill. That makes Webster happy.
Us too.

Alexandra Cousteau is taking up where her grandfather left off – and we’re on board. As part of the Expedition Blue Planet: North America tour in 2009, her biodiesel bus covered 14,500 miles promoting sustainable water management.

Along for the ride to produce brochures, fliers and promotional materials was our multifunction printer that uses solid ink. It produces only about 10% of the consumables waste of a comparable cartridge-based printer.

That’s great for the land and the water that runs through it.
