Employees are the heart and soul of our workplace. Engaging them and ensuring that we have captured their minds and hearts enables us to strengthen our customer and business relationships. Many factors contribute to engagement – including job, community and family. Our employees demonstrate a commitment in all of these areas.
Our managers help foster a positive work environment and high levels of employee engagement. They do this by understanding employees’ views of the work environment and areas of opportunity through a variety of methods. In the past, we have deployed a global cultural and satisfaction survey delivered every 18 months. We are revamping the entire survey process to streamline and increase the frequency of pulse surveys. Our goal is to simplify the survey process and reduce the hassle factor of administering the survey. We continue to use other methods to keep in touch with our people, including town hall meetings, roundtables, Web-chats and focus groups.
Employees tell us they are proud to work for Xerox and that they care deeply about the company, their work, each other and our customers. Past census survey results have been important to understanding the culture and environment.
We are not without flaws or some areas that require attention. Employees have told us they are concerned about the impact of the economy on job security and the future. Our CEO and senior leaders maintain a regular dialogue with our people through a variety of methods, including employee roundtables and town hall meetings.
