Our partnership with the US Open

Serving the US Open
Xerox document technology and services is integrated into many key areas of the US Open: tournament operations, business operations, and in the media center, where all print devices – scanners, printers, fax machines, mobile, multifunction devices, etc. – are fully networked and consolidated for super-efficient color communications. And you’ll see a wide variety of Xerox printer technology hard at work, including the ColorQube 8870 solid ink printer, the WorkCentre 75nn series tabloid printers, and the WorkCentre 6505 color multifunction printer.

Sophisticated Xerox software is monitored by knowledgeable onsite DocuCare associates to prevent downtime. Xerox’s hands-on service is critical for serving up key communications around the event to employees, media and fans, such as:

  • Daily draw sheets -- the fans’ de facto guide to the entire event.
  • Hot sheets, which provide fans with daily facts and behind-the-scenes insights.
  • Other expected business related printing demands.

Our partnership with the US Open Capture your US Open Moment
This year US Open attendees stopped by our onsite promotional booth to engage in their own personal tennis photo shoot. Once the moment was captured, it was sent off to our ColorQube 8870 solid ink printer to be personalized and printed on Xerox specialty paper. Not only did attendees walk away with their own personalized souvenir from the US Open, at any point, they can access their photo from our online photo gallery to tag and share with friends.

If attendees were on the run catching the action at the US Open, they also had the ability to Tweet photos to @XeroxCorp to be printed at the Xerox Promotional Booth and uploaded to our online gallery. No matter where attendees were at the event, Xerox was waiting behind the sidelines to deliver the winning shots!

US Open attendees partnered with Xerox to help raise money for a great cause. By checking in using foursquare® at Xerox’s Promotional Booth, we donated $5 (up to $7500) to USTA Serves®1.

Our partnership with the US Open 10 and Under Tennis Campaign
The USTA's 10 and Under Tennis program hopes to attract young kids to the sport with smaller courts, bigger rackets and softer tennis balls. We're helping the USTA promote 10 and Under Tennis with a one-to-one, multi-channel event marketing campaign that includes:
  • Extensive customization to accommodate a diverse set of tennis facilities with varying marketing goals and demographics.
  • Economies of scale that come from marrying variable data to one set of templates using our XMPie technology.
  • A theme integrated through creative pieces ranging from personalized email invitations with registration PURLs to a memento magnet bearing the child's name.
  • A marketing intelligence portal for reporting pre- and post-event analytics.
