WTA Live All Access Hour (AAH) is a series of live interviews with WTA's biggest stars before major tournaments. During each show, players discuss the upcoming tournament, answer fan questions and play an array of games – all with a goal of taking fans behind the scenes with their favorite players.
Leveraging Vine, Twitter’s mobile service for creating short, looping videos, Xerox and WTA have developed #AAHfancast—a program that lets fans be seen by their favorite women’s tennis players during All Access Hour presented by Xerox.
Fans create an original Vine video that includes a question for their favorite women’s tennis star and tweet it using the hashtag #AAHfancast. Selected videos are aired during the live All Access Hour show when the likes of Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Maria Sharapova and other top players answer the questions and often autograph merchandise for the participants.
The WTA has 52 tournaments a year, broadcast over hundreds of different TV channels in various countries. We’ve helped simplify the viewing experience for tennis fans around the world by developing a single WTA TV web page. The page reads your browser settings to determine your location, and then serves up a user-friendly, interactive TV schedule. It includes a dropdown menu so you can choose a different country/time zone. Now you’ll never miss another WTA broadcast.
For the WTA’s annual Pre-Wimbledon Party, Xerox Communication and Marketing Services built a guest list management system, including an admin. portal for WTA to manage invitations and responses along with a digital on-site check-in feature. The party was wildly successful with more than 1,000 attendees resulting from 1,466 email invitations.
As the highest-attended annual sporting event in the world, communication is critical behind the scenes at the US Open. We coordinate event communications for thousands of employees, vendors, media and fans in our role as the exclusive office equipment, document technology and services provider for the US Open.
Xerox document technology is integrated into many key areas of the US Open: tournament operations, business operations and the Media Center, where Xerox’s hands-on service is critical for serving up key communications around the tournament, such as daily draw sheets, hot sheets, press releases and more.
