The end of an era

They say that all good things must come to an end. And so it is with our sponsorships of the Ducati World Superbike team. Earlier this summer, Ducati decided to withdraw their factory team from the world superbike racing series to focus their efforts on developing the next generation of superbike in the factory. This means the French race at Magny Cours in October was the last time ever that the Ducati Xerox branded bikes were seen in action.

As we look back at the last six years, some amazing statistics emerge about the sponsorship – 3 championship, titles , 37 race wins, 118 podiums, Over 5,000 customers entertained, 950,000 posters given out, 15,000 race day programs produced, millions of dollars of media coverage created, measurable Xerox brand shifts with customers, 4000 followers on the team face book page and employees all round the world actively engaged in following the team. Add to this a thriving business relationship and a global advertising campaign that uses Ducati as a case study, it’s hard to conclude that our sponsorship of Ducati has been anything but a huge success.

So now it’s Grazie Mille to all our friends at Ducati and everyone in the Xerox world that has worked so hard to bring the sponsorship to life for our customers.
