The 2009 championship went right down to the last race in Portimao, Portugal, and though Ducati Xerox Team riders Michel Fabrizio and Noriyuki Haga took first and second positions in race two, it wasn't enough to prevent Ben Spies of Yamaha taking the championship title. That said, it has been an amazing season for the team; Nori finished second and Michel finished third in the championship, Ducati took the Constructors title and the Junior team rider Xavier Simeon won the Superstock 1000 Cup.
We'd like to congratulate all team members on an wonderful season, for the friendship and hospitality they have shown Xerox and our guests, and for continuing to show how leading performance at a consistently high level requires focus, commitment and amazing people, Grazie!
