Our relationship with Ducati extends beyond traditional sponsorship. In July 2005 Xerox Global Services (XGS), the section of the company specialising in the transformation and outsourcing of document intensive business processes, won a five-year contract with Ducati Motor Holding.
Since then, XGS has succeeded in rationalising Ducati's document services, its business processes and production thanks to a comprehensive analysis and mapping of all Ducati copiers, fax machines and printers.
The contract has seen XGS focus on Ducati's document management, reorganising the way Ducati's technical manuals and booklets are printed. The documents are ordered on a just-in-time basis instead of ordering a massive bulk of documents, which can cause storage issues.
Thanks to the partnership with XGS, Ducati has succeeded in integrating its business and document processes. By cutting the number of machines by 70%, XGS also has helped Ducati reduce the cost of ownership and administration. In turn, this has made the company more efficient which has led to better customer service quality.
