| | | | | | | Our Sharing Principles and Guidelines | | | Xerox Canada recognizes the worthiness of more than 70,000 non-profit or charitable organizations in Canada who seek to make a better life for fellow Canadians. We choose to partner with many such organizations each year to assist their efforts and further causes of mutual interest. We seek opportunities to grow and expand our partnerships by accepting and evaluating donation / sponsorship requests on an ongoing basis. | | | Donation requests are supported to the degree our funding permits. | | Applicants must meet the following criteria:- Have a Revenue Canada number as a registered charitable organization
- Be able to provide an audited financial statement which details the organization's administration costs, monies raised and the cost of operations; plus projected revenue sources and operating budget, if the request is for a specific project
- Be able to provide a charitable tax receipt
- Be a quality organization, well-run, with solid community support
- Have the ability to operate successfully with broad financial support so that the organization is not solely reliant on Xerox Canada as a contributor - a list of other donors or sponsors is required
| Xerox Canada WILL consider donation requests that:- Are in line with our Community Contributions philosophy, principles and guidelines
- Enable us to fulfill our Community Leader promise of giving, volunteering and support for our communities
- Have an Education/Information Technology, Diversity, and/or Community focus
- Are national in scope or that have a national impact and target the greatest needs
- Present a compelling business case with measurable outcomes
- Allow us to build collaborative and sustainable partnerships and make a marked positive difference
- Meet our annual evaluation and renewal criteria (in the case of repeat or multi-year investments)
- Are an 'exclusive' Xerox opportunity
- Are aligned with the values and interests of our people and support the communities where they live and work
- Are cause vs. charitable/non-profit organization directed
- Include opportunities for Xerox recognition as a donor or sponsor
| Xerox Canada will NOT consider donation requests that support:- Projects or programs outside Canada, that benefit non-Canadian communities
- Projects or programs that benefit a single, exclusive religious group or view
- Private schools
- Sporting events
- Political parties (except as allowed by the Xerox Political Contributions Policy)
- General endowment funds or foundations, except if associated with a specific project or program otherwise eligible for Xerox Canada support
