March 2, 2012: Xerox Receives a 2012 CRN Channel Champions Award
The CRN 22nd annual Channel Champions awards honor vendors that achieved the highest satisfaction scores in a survey of more than 2,000 solution providers across 27 technology categories including two new technology markets, CRM software and tablets. Awards were presented to the overall technology category winners as well as subcategory winners in the areas of technical satisfaction, support satisfaction and financial factors. In a clean sweep, Xerox nabbed the trophy for Workgroup Color Printers.

It's based on an employee survey, combined with a qualitative analysis of each company's human resource management, which is then evaluated Exame journalists. Dec. 5, 2011: Wall Street Journal Online (Deal Journal) lists Xerox among top 10 "Most Acquisitive" American companies of the year.
The WSJ asked Dealogic to compile a list of the most acquisitive public companies in America, accounting only for purchases of other companies and tossing out deals for frequently-sold assets such as wireless spectrum or tracts of land for shale drilling rights. Xerox tied at No. 9 with eBay and Ensign Group. Others listed were: Swisher Hygiene at No1., No2. Google, No. 3 tie with Intel and GE, No. 5 Arthur J. CRN's list measures customer demand, partner relevance and strength of technology. In total there were 225 vendors in 13 technology categories surveyed among 400 completed responses. Xerox has a loyal following of printer and copier VARs, but is hoping to expand that base to networking and managed service providers. This year the company partnered with Cisco on a cloud IT outsourcing, managed print and mobile print initiatives. The company also created eConcierge, a supplies services revenue stream. In addition, Xerox was honored for its expanded product portfolio for the VARs.

Oct. 17, 2011: Xerox Research Centre Europe receives Wall Street Journal 2011 Technology Innovation Award for Software
The software award goes to Xerox Corp.'s Xerox Research Centre Europe for a prototype customer-support system that uses three-dimensional virtual-reality imaging to connect customers with live help-desk assistance directly from a broken printer. With the technology, which isn't yet on the market, a customer can press a "help" button on the printer that launches an Internet phone call to the help desk. At the same time, it loads and displays a 3-D model of the device on both the customer's and the call center's screens, and the agent receives diagnostic information directly from the device. The agent can identify the fix and then guide the customer through the repair using the 3-D model, reducing the need to dispatch service technicians.
