Over the past decade, Xerox has earned many prestigious awards for its environmental leadership. Some of these awards have been earned by only a few companies worldwide. Visit our Awards Archive to see the long history of awards and recognition for Xerox.

  • The 2006 U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) winner of the 2006 "GSA Evergreen Award" in the Technologies and Electronics category. The Evergreen Award program recognizes "environmentally conscientious business partners" whose "recycling, affirmative procurement and waste reduction efforts can set an example for other NFC business partners to follow."
  • In 2005, earned a new global business ranking called the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World. Xerox Corporation was recognized among 20 U.S. companies that are leading the way to a more sustainable world.
  • The 2004 Industrial Achievement Award for pollution prevention
  • The 2003 Arizona Mexico International Green Organization (AMIGO) Award
  • INFORM's 2000 Corporate Environmental Vision Award
  • The Princes' Award Foundation's 2000 Millennium Award
  • The European Union's Better Environmental Award for Industry, 1996
  • The National Wildlife Federation's Environmental Achievement Award, 1994

2005
  • The Xerox photoreceptor manufacturing plant in Webster, NY was awarded the NYWEA statewide award -- the Industrial Achievement Award for 2004. It is the first time that Xerox has received statewide recognition from NYWEA, and Xerox was one of only two recipients of this year's Industrial Achievement Award.
  • A new global business ranking called the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World recognized Xerox Corporation among 20 U.S. companies that are leading the way to a more sustainable world.
  • The Xerox Supplies manufacturing plant in Oklahoma City, Okla., is among 54 facilities to have earned membership in the U.S. EPA's National Environmental Performance Track Program. Performance Track rewards facilities that voluntarily exceed regulatory requirements, implement systems for improving environmental management; work with their communities, and set three-year goals for improvements in environmental performance. Only facilities with a record of sustained compliance with environmental requirements are eligible to participate.
  • Xerox India Ltd. has received the International Safety Award for its Rampur plant from the British Safety Council for the sixth year in a row.
 
2004
  • The Xerox facility in Webster, N.Y. has been awarded the New York State Water Environment Association Silver Compliance Recognition Award. The Water Environment Association, Genesee Valley Chapter Industrial Issues Committee recognizes industries with excellent environmental compliance for wastewater discharges. Xerox achieved over 99 percent compliance with its wastewater discharge requirements in 2003 at the Webster campus.
  • The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration as one of its Voluntary Protection Program sites have recognized Xerox's Oklahoma City Supplies Manufacturing Plant. This is the first Xerox workplace to be designated as a VPP site.
  • The Xerox facility in Webster, NY has been awarded the 2004 Industry Award for Pollution Prevention from Genesee Valley Chapter of the New York Water Environment Association recognizing Xerox's innovative way to further control pollution.
 
2003
SUMEX has been awarded the 2003 the Arizona Mexico International Green Organization award (AMIGO). SUMEX has received the AMIGO award in 5 of the last 6 years for their work in the pollution prevention or process improvement categories. This year SUMEX is receiving special recognition for their leadership activities in establishing environmental and community out reach programs in the local government, other industrial companies, and schools/universities. The award was presented on November 21st in Hermosillo, Mexico from the governors of Arizona and Sonora.

The National Irish Safety Organization has recognized Xerox Technology Park in Dundalk, Ireland for excellence in occupational health and safety. The award was presented on October 9 in Galway, Ireland.
 
2002
The Xerox facility in Webster, N.Y., has been awarded the 2002 New York State Water Environment Association Silver Compliance Recognition Award. The Water Environment Association, Genesee Valley Chapter Industrial Issues Committee recognizes industries with excellent environmental compliance for wastewater discharge. Xerox achieved a 99.6 percent compliance with its wastewater discharge requirements in 2002 at the Webster campus. Xerox was recognized at the New York Water Environment Association/Industrial Issues Committee Seminar on May 1, 2003, in Rochester, N.Y.

Xerox's Rampur, India manufacturing facility received the British Safety Council's National Safety Award for its outstanding safety record.

Xerox Technology Park in Dundalk, Ireland was recognized with the Irish Health and Safety Authority’s 2002 Good Neighbor Award for their efforts to share safety expertise with local organizations.
