The Xerox Foundation
From its beginnings, Xerox has helped shape the idea of corporate social responsibility. Our education and social service efforts reflect our belief that a successful corporation must be an active participant in society.
Xerox remains committed to a program of grants to colleges and universities that prepare qualified men and women for careers in business, government and education. Xerox also is committed to furthering the advance of knowledge in science and technology and enhancing learning opportunities for minorities and the disadvantaged.
The Xerox Foundation is the hand that gives something back to the communities from which we draw our employees, our customers, and our freedom to conduct business. The Xerox Foundation also supports employees through the following four programs:
- Xerox Social Service Leave Program: Employees take fully-paid leaves of absence from their jobs to work full time on social action projects of their own design and choosing.
- Xerox Community Involvement Program: Local teams of Xerox employees select and work on specific community projects that they identify in their communities.
- Xerox Employee United Way Program: Employees are educated on the benefits of the United Way programs and services so they will have the opportunity to make their own choice of giving.
- Xerox Employee Matching Gifts Program: Employees' contributions to institutions of higher education are matched by The Xerox Foundation up to a maximum of $1,000.
