Benefits of Stock-to-Image Matching XSIS has a solution for ensuring that document content is always printed on the correct stock. The XSIS Feed Assurance Feature ("FAF") validates that each piece of paper on which an image is printed is the sheet actually intended for that image, so a mis-match is recognized as soon as it occurs. This capability is valuable when printing on any type of pre-collated stock. While you cannot avoid errors in pre-collation, FAF enables your high speed Xerox printer to detect when a sheet is fed out-of-sequence. It purges the incorrect document and stops the system from printing the following images on sheets that are now mis-ordered. You can avoid the wasted labor and materials in re-running the job, and avoid missing your print window. This stock-to-image matching capability is also critical to a print shop that has contracts with multiple companies, and must ensure that Company A's report is printed only on Company A's letterhead and that Company B's document is printed only on Company B's special stock. Mix-up's with stocks that have logos or pre-printed information can be disasterous, especially if the content is proprietary or affects customer relations. Yet, even the most painstaking manual procedures can't stop all of the errors. The XSIS solution can catch these errors, every time. The FAF solution relies on tiny barcodes that you can have pre-printed on your stock.
